LESSON ONE: HELIOCENTRIC MAGI ASTROLOGY

February 22, 2001

What is Heliocentric Astrology?

Popular and Traditional Astrology is based on birth charts with the Earth at the center. For this reason, this form of astrology is referred to as GEOCENTRIC astrology, because the Earth (geo) is at the center (centric). Heliocentric Astrology uses astrological charts drawn where the positions of the planets are based on the Sun being at the center. The term "helio" is derived from the Greek word "helios" meaning the Sun. Heliocentric simply means the Sun at the center.

Heliocentric Versus Geocentric Astrology

Almost all Traditional and Popular Astrologers have one thing in common: they share a distinct distaste for Heliocentric Astrology and simply disregard it. We believe this is due primarily to the fact that virtually all of the tools of Traditional and Popular astrology are missing in Heliocentric Astrology.

Heliocentric Astrology does not have a Sun; it has no Moon, no houses, no ascendant and no midheaven. Neither Mercury, nor any other planet is ever retrograde in Heliocentric Astrology. Not only that, when a planet is in one sign in geocentric astrology, the planet is sometimes in a different sign in Heliocentric Astrology. This fact actually contradicts a fundamental principle of Traditional and Popular Astrology (that the placement of a planet in a particular sign has predictable meaning).

As we said, Heliocentric Astrology does not allow for any of the normal techniques used by Traditional and Popular Astrology.

Heliocentric Astrology does not have a Sun or Moon, or houses, or ascendants or midheavens, or retrograde planets. So what does Heliocentric Astrology have?

The answer is simple:

HELIOCENTRIC ASTROLOGY HAS PLANETARY GEOMETRY

Even more importantly, Heliocentric Astrology has ONLY Planetary Geometry. Which means it is perfect for Magi Astrology because the cornerstone of Magi Astrology is Planetary Geometry.

At the Magi Society, we are both pleased and proud of our achievements so far. In 1995, our first book Astrology Really Works! was able to help astrologers learn about the significance of the declinations. We believe our book is one of the main reasons so many astrologers now employ the declinations in their work. Just two years ago in March of 1999, our third book revealed how to utilize PLANETARY GEOMETRY and the position of CHIRON to help us attain a significantly better understanding about the astrology of love and money. But we now also look forward to helping astrologers realize that Heliocentric Astrology is indispensable, especially when it comes to forecasting future trends.

The Magi Society did not invent Heliocentric Astrology. But we have made enormous and monumental advances to better understand the true meaning of heliocentric planetary alignments. This knowledge has long been part of the highly protected secrets of the Magi Society. But many of these secrets will now finally soon be revealed on this website.

Heliocentric Astrology is obscure. Even most astrology fans know very little about it. But there is one group of astrologers who are devoted to Heliocentric Astrology. For quite some time, Heliocentric Astrology has been the favorite tool and domain of Financial Astrologers. Outside of the Magi Society, it is the Financial Astrologers who have been most aware of the value of Heliocentric Astrology. For this reason, our first lesson on Heliocentric Magi Astrology will be about Financial Astrology.

HOW TO USE HELIOCENTRIC ASTROLOGY WITH FINANCIAL ASTROLOGY

Ever since man first gazed up at the stars, we have had a feeling that somehow in some way, the stars are clues as to what happens on Earth. For thousands of years, astrologers have studied the stars and made predictions. Some were pretty darn good predictions; but some predictions were so far off the mark that astrologers were ridiculed. In our books, we explained that it was not until recently that astrologers finally had a FULL SET OF PLANETS TO USE in our work. Pluto was discovered only about 70 years ago and Chiron was unknown until 1977. Each such discovery greatly improved the ability of astrologers to make accurate forecasts. But there has been a part of the stars that astrologers have known about, but is almost always ignored. Very few astrologers take into consideration the heliocentric alignment of the planets even though we have known about them for a very long time. But Heliocentric Astrology fills the last huge gaping hole in the education of astrologers. Below is an example of why we say this.

BY UTILIZING HELIOCENTRIC MAGI ASTROLOGY
THE STOCK MARKET CRASH OF 1987 WAS "OBVIOUS"

We have explained on this website and in our books that Turbulent Angles are signs of turbulence, and that the Nuclear Clash aspect (formed by a Turbulent Angle of Jupiter and Saturn) is a reliable sign of big problems. This is true whether we are talking about a CAC formed by two persons, or about an alignment in the sky at any given moment. A Grand Cross creates six Turbulent Angles and is an unusual occurrence.

From the days of the ancient Hebrew Prophets to this very day, the best astrologers have always known that when four planets form a Grand Cross in the sky, it is a sign that something problematic could arise. The Grand Cross is considered to be the worst possible alignment that four planets can form. In fact, on the day of the worst stock market crash in history, there was a Double Grand Cross. But the Double Grand Cross occurred only in the Heliocentric dimension of astrology.

Below is the Heliocentric Magi Astrology Chart for the Crash of 1987, cast for October 20, 1987 at the lows of the market at 1:30 PM. For those of you who may not know it, the position of the Earth appears in heliocentric charts, and we drew lines to point out the glyphs that represents the Earth. As is the case with geocentric charts, the Magi Astrology Heliocentric Chart includes the latitudes, which are the heliocentric equivalents of the declinations.

During the worst hours of the stock market crash of 1987, the entire value of all stocks in the United States had shrank by almost 50%. It was the worst stock market single event disaster in history. (During the bottom of the Crash of 1929, the losses were a mere 25%.)

The 1987 Crash began at the opening bell on October 19, 1987 and was at its worst the next day at 1:30 PM. This was essentially the exact moment when the Heliocentric Double Grand Cross was most exact and therefore at its worst. As the Double Grand Cross began to disperse (because of the movement of Mercury), the stock market also began to recover.

Note that there was also a Nuclear Clash Aspect in the Heliocentric sky during the 1987 crash. (Now you know one reason we call that alignment the Nuclear Clash.) The Nuclear Clash was formed in the LATITUDES. The latitudes are the heliocentric equivalent of the declinations so latitudes will appear in all heliocentric charts used for Magi Astrology.

Our main point is that if an astrologer did not take into account the Heliocentric Chart for the 1987 crash, and include Chiron and the latitudes, then the astrologer would have not known about the key astrological signs that clearly told us a crash could occur.

THE 24-HOUR RULE

Magi Astrology has a rule called the 24-Hour Rule. It says that when a meaningful alignment of the planets occurs, the actual maximum active impact of the alignment can be 24 hours before or after the PEAK of the formation of the alignment. The peak is defined as the time when the alignment is most exact. But it is important to keep in mind that the after-shock effects of the peak can linger on for a few more days and sometimes even a week.

BY UTILIZING HELIOCENTRIC MAGI ASTROLOGY
THE STOCK MARKET BOTTOM OF 1932 WAS "OBVIOUS"

Most people do not know this, but the Crash of 1929 was not what really devastated the US economy and caused the Great Depression. In fact, after the 1929 crash, the stock market actually recovered most of its losses quickly. But then it entered the worst bear market in history. During this worst of all bear markets, stock prices lost ground relentlessly and simply kept going down until July 8, 1932. On September 3, 1929, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 381.17. On July 8, 1932, it stood at 41.22, a drop of nearly 90%.

Amazingly, this "all-time bottom" in the US stock market could also have been "obvious" by using Heliocentric Magi Astrology! There was a Grand Cross in the Heliocentric sky that peaked July 7, 1932 (remember the 24-hour Rule).

Below is the Heliocentric Chart of the most historic low of the US stock market in the 20th century, cast for July 7, 1932 at noon.

As you can see from this chart, there was also a Nuclear Clash Aspect on that day.

JUPITER-CHIRON AND SATURN-CHIRON ALIGNMENTS
ARE SIGNIFICANT FOR THE FINANCIAL MARKETS

In our third book and on this website, we have regularly explained that the alignments formed by Chiron with either Jupiter or Saturn are among the most important alignments. We believe these two pairings of planets are so important we gave them special names. A Magical Angle made between Jupiter and Chiron is a Cinderella Aspect and a Golden Aspect. A Turbulent Angle made between Saturn and Chiron is a Heartbreak Clash Aspect.

These two aspects are crucial to the astrology of love but these same two aspects are equally important in Financial Magi Astrology, especially if they are formed in the latitudes in Heliocentric Astrology. Quite often, the formation of either of these two alignments by Chiron in the heliocentric latitudes can help us to predict when a low or a high will soon be made in the financial markets. For example, this was the case the last two times these two aspects were formed in October or 1997 and August of 1998.

SATURN-CHIRON IN HELIOCENTRIC ASTROLOGY WAS
AN ASTROLOGICAL SIGN OF THE CURRENCY CRSIS OF 1998

On August 25, 1998, in the heliocentric sky, Saturn was exactly contra-parallel to Chiron in the latitudes. Those of you who keep a close tab on the financial markets will recall that the weeks immediately before and after that date were the most tumultuous weeks for the worldwide financial markets since the Kuwait War and Desert Storm. For the six weeks ending August 31, 1998, the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged over 20%. It was a mini-crash but it proved to be the shortest bear market in history. In terms of worldwide events, the mini-crash was due to a currency crisis that was precipitated by the collapse of the Russian Ruble and Russia's default on its sovereign debt. For this reason, many have called this mini-crash the Currency Crisis Crash.

Below is the Heliocentric Magi Astrology Chart for August 25, 1998.

You are probably surprised to see that besides the Heartbreak Clash Aspect formed by a contra-parallel of Saturn and Chiron, there was also a powerful Grand Trine. But this is exactly why we picked this chart as an example to use. We would like to illustrate the fact that there are often several important alignments in the sky on any given day. Sometimes, the preponderance of these meaningful alignments point in the same direction. That was the case in the Crash of 1987 and it was also the case for the historic low that the stock market made in July of 1932. But most of the time, on any given day, there are both good and bad alignments formed by the planets at the same time. When this happens, it is necessary to weigh the power of the good alignments against the power of the bad ones. The Magi Society has a simple rule for dealing with this problem. We call it the Rule of Planetary Speeds. This rule says:

THE POWER OF AN ALIGNMENT IS INVERSELY PROPORTIONAL TO THE SPEED OF THE PLANETS FORMING THE ALIGNMENT.

In other words, the slower the speed, the greater the power and the faster the speed, the lower the power.

In the case of the Grand Trine formed in the August 25, 1998 Heliocentric Chart, the Grand Trine was formed by Venus which is a very fast moving planet. So the power of the Grand Trine is minimal. Within the Grand Trine, there is a trine formed by Jupiter and Chiron and these planets move quite a bit slower than Venus. But this aspect peaked (was exact) eighteen days earlier. Which brings us to another rule of Magi Astrology.

THE POWER OF AN ASPECT PEAKS WHEN THE ALIGNMENT IS MOST EXACT.

Since the Jupiter-Chiron aspect peaked 18 days earlier, it did not have any real power on August 25, 1998. (But it did have a strong influence in supporting the financial markets before it peaked, as evidenced by the fact that the US stock market rose a little during the two weeks just before the peak, and then dropped precipitously the two weeks afterwards.)

If you knew that the currency crisis was related to the Saturn-Chiron Clash in the heliocentric sky, you might have been both brave and wise enough to have maybe bought some stocks shortly after the peak of the clash on August 25, 1998. If you were really smart, you would have waited a week before buying because you would have figured out that the Grand Trine was supporting the market and that it would peak the same time the Heartbreak Clash peaked. (Remember that the Heartbreak Clash would have a more lasting effect because of the slower speed of the planets that form it.)

To figure all this out correctly and precisely is not always easy, since there are conflicting alignments. But sometimes, we can get real lucky and the alignments are clearer and they mainly point in one direction, like the Crash of 1987, or the historic low made in 1932. Or like the example below.

THE LAST JUPITER-CHIRON CONTRA-PARALLEL TIMED A HIGH WITHIN 3 DAYS

A Saturn-Chiron Clash is helpful in timing lows in the financial markets, whereas a Jupiter-Chiron Magical Angle is helpful in timing highs in the financial markets.

On October 5, 1997, Jupiter and Chiron formed an exact contra-parallel in the latitudes in the heliocentric sky. October 5 was a Sunday and the US financial markets were closed. Jupiter-Chiron Magical Angles help us to time highs. The actual intermediate high was made three days later on Wednesday, October 8. Just three weeks later, the US stock market had dropped 10%, one of the largest declines ever for a 3-week period.

Below is a Heliocentric Magi Astrology Chart for October 5, 1997, the day when the Jupiter-Chiron aspect peaked.

Many have tried to use astrology to make money in the financial markets. There are many factors to consider. These factors include your own transits because you cannot make money by trading stocks during bad transits. Our goal in this lesson is not to try to help you make money in the stock market. We have constantly warned and we repeat that you cannot make money by using astrology. But we do believe that if you utilize Heliocentric Magi Astrology, you will gain a better understanding and perspective of what is happening to you, your world, and the rest of the world.

The Magi Society has unique computer software that now includes upgrades that have better heliocentric capabilities than that provided by any other commercially available software. The most advanced software is available only to members of the Magi Society.
